Congratulations to the Albany High Theater Ensemble and our Falcon musicians for winning the "Outstanding Student Orchestra" award at the 10th Annual High School Musical Theatre Awards!
Our Albany High student-musicians were honored on the MainStage at Proctors on Saturday, May 16, for their incredible performance of "Mean Girls: High School Version."
"It just makes me feel like the work that I did and that we did as an ensemble is fully appreciated, shared Jonah Bouget. "And that makes me really happy."
"We put a lot of time into it, a lot of Tuesdays and Thursdays, and then three weeks straight of just rehearsals," Caleb Goldstein added. "It's just satisfying to see it pay off."
This is the second time in three years that the Albany High Theater Ensemble has taken home the "Outstanding Student Orchestra" award. Back in 2024, our student-musicians won for their excellent orchestral performance in the "25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee."
